Historical Background Once upon a time, the Spaniards came to the Philippines and they started to visit one place after the other.  One Spaniard met a man who was carrying something and the Spaniards asked him what the name of the place is.  The man answered without understanding what the Spaniards asked him and replied, "Pucut".  The foreigner analyzed the answer of the native and called the place "Pamucutan".

It is bounded on the north by Sinubong, on the south by La Paz and on the west by Talisayan.

It has three (3) sitios: Balintawak, Anuling and Papaya.
