Historical BackgroundPatalo

Patalon was earlier inhabited by Subanens.  The toiled and sweat much to make this area a coconut-producing barrio.  A Subanen Datu took hold of some of the land.

Later, he divided the land in his possession and sold part to a German.  The German died during the Second World War and presently the sitio of this place is still owned and managed by the descendants of the German buyer, Sitio Patalon Plantation.

The name Patalon was derived from the word "patag", meaning level land.

Description

Patalon is divided into puroks.  Busugan and Tarling are the sitios that comprise Purok I; Sitio Malandi and Pulanglupais Purok II; Balicacas is Purok III; Miluao is Purok IV; Malubog is Purok V; and Parfamco and Sto. Niño are Purok VI.
