Historical Background

During the pre-Spanish time, a beautiful woman appeared in the place and the residents were amazed of her personality and she gave her name as Vita.  As days went on, another beautiful woman came and her name was Li.

Being a nameless place, the people called it Vitali, coming from the names of the two beautiful women who migrated to the place.  So this is how Barangay Vitali got its name.

Desciption

Barangay Vitali is situated in the easternmost part of the city, with extensive collection of wild life, trees and rich soil.  It is also an agricultural area because of the abundant resources like coconuts, mangoes, bananas, and other agricultural products.

It can be reached by a 1-hour-and-30-minute drive.  Transportation is not a problem because the road access is well cemented and different types of vehicles can be commuted depending on one's desire.

The population is fast increasing because more people migrate for business opportunities like the buying and selling of rice, fishpond products and other agricultural products.

Its terrain is 30% hilly/mountainous, 20% coastal and 50% plain.  It is rich in marine resources.  The people mostly depend on fishing and others on tilling the lands and planting corn, palay, vegetables and other produce as their meager source of income.
