Divisions and Functions

OFFICE OF THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR

The City Administrator coordinates all work programs, projects and activities of all offices of the city; directs the study and analysis of the organization, management practices and operational procedures of offices and institute administrative reforms when deemed necessary. Maintain and administer the operation of the Economic Enterprises Management.

ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT

Supervises and coordinates the accomplishment of the work programs and activities of the component unit such as the preparation and finalization of correspondence and communication, general clerical work and maintenance records. Coordinates in the general service function of the office of the City Mayor.

OPERATION OF THE MARKET (MAIN)

Enforces all ordinances, rules and regulations pertaining to or covering the administration and operation of the Main Public Market. Formulate plans and policies for the maintenance of cleanliness and orderliness of the market premises and stalls. Reviews contract of lease and checks renewal of business permits to determine compliance of payment of rentals and fees. Recommends to higher authorities the necessary sanctions on delinquents and violations of the market code.

OPERATION OF MARKET (STA. CRUZ COMMERCIAL COMPLEX)

Enforces all ordinances, rules and regulations pertaining to or covering the administration and operation of Sta. Cruz Commercial Complex. Formulates plans and policies for the maintenance of cleanliness and orderliness of the market premises and stalls. Reviews contract of lease and checks renewal of business permits to determine compliance of payment of rentals and fees. Recommends to higher authorities the necessary sanctions on delinquents and violations of the market code.

OPERATION OF SLAUGHTERHOUSE (CLASS “AA” ABATTOIR)

Enforces all ordinances, rules and regulations pertaining to or covering the administration and operation of Slaughterhouse. Formulate plans and policies for the maintenance of cleanliness and orderliness of the market premises and stalls. Reviews contract of lease and checks renewal of business permits to determine compliance of payment of rentals and fees.

ADMINISTRATION AND OPERATIONS OF ZAMBOANGA CITY PUBLIC CEMETERY

Enforces all ordinances, rules and regulations pertaining to or covering the administration and operation of the Mercedes Public Cemetery and the Mampang Public Cemetery; Formulate plans and policies for the effective management of the burial grounds and facilities of the cemeteries to include the maintenance of cleanliness and orderliness; Reviews contracts covering the sale/lease of burial lots; Recommends to higher amendments to the ordinance when necessary.
